Upon identifying the onset of presbyopia, we will begin with introducing and identifying PAL design parameters including but not limited to mono/multi, symmetric/asymmetric and others. Matching optical problems with appropriate solutions will be included as well as identifying excessive cylinder/unwanted surface astigmatic error and their ratios to add powers. HIV/AIDS Issues in the Optical Profession v2009/10
This course addresses various concerns regarding transmission, prevention, occupational risk, and laws related to HIV/AIDS. The State of Florida, Board of Opticianry requires that newly licensed opticians complete one hour of HIV/AIDS education during their first renewal period that they are required to complete education. This course meets that requirement.
All other opticains are welcome to take this course for one hour of elective credit toward their license renewal.
